As I now stand on my own, all I can remember is that night our eyes met
You were standing there like a beautiful angel, more beautiful than any angel I could ever imagine
Standing there in your elegant golden dress, bringing out the inviting warmth of your beautiful brown eyes
As our eyes met each other, I felt my heart fill with joyous emotions
I knew that you were meant to be with me, and I was meant for you
We talked throughout the night, we danced among the clouds
We may have been in a crowded room, but that night it was only you and I
As we held each other close, we were lost in our own fantasy world of pure love and happiness
A world that soon was shattered as it came crashing down, a world shattered by your lies and deceitfulness
Promising that you will never want to see me hurt, never want to see me cry
Now I find myself standing here all alone with a dying heart, surrounded by the shattered glass of what once housed our love Hold on to he memories of what once was, finding myself lost within my pain, a pain that leaves me always remembering
