My Lonely Street of Misery
By:Mikaela A. Lopez

A light in the dark, a lift in the fog
Alone in my own state of mind, stuck in this mental bog
Fresh new mind, friend of mine
Sweet friend of mine, I am confused and want to be set free
Only to find myself to be imprisoned, imprisoned by my loneliness of my darken solitude
You look good, you act so nice
I can only hope and wonder, do you taste like sugar and spice?
They’ve all been nice to me, they’ve all been sweet
Then they all trampled me beneath their feet, or I find myself doing it to them
I don’t want to lose yet another friend
Nervous, unsure, what am I to do?
Attraction can be hell, but that doesn’t describe you
I don’t know what to do, or even know what to say
You’ve might of gone through your hell, but I’m still going through mine
I’ll bring you down with me, is what I fear
Into my hole of melancholy, into my insanity
Oh well, only if you dare, only if you want
I’ll see you down my lonely street of misery
